BATH, N.Y. (WENY) – One Bath man won big during Tops’ annual Monopoly Rip It and Win It game.

Alan O. won the grand prize of $10,000 in “Food & Fuel Stimulus” – and that wasn’t the only lucky draw he had. Alan told Tops officials earlier in the week, it was his birthday and he won at the casino; the next day he won money on a lottery ticket. The $10,000 prize came on the third day.

“I was at home after shopping and was opening my tickets and was surprised,” said Alan. “I never won anything this big before. My mom was with me and thought I was lying so we immediately went back to the store and they were happy and just as surprised.

Alan says he hasn’t decided what he plans on buying with his prize.

Three other winners have won at Monopoly at the Bath Tops location. Up to 50 people have the chance of winning the $10,000 grand prize; Alan is the sixth this year.
