ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- This week in wine country, sponsored by Finger Lakes Wine Country, WENY's Renata Stiehl and Laury Ward, President of Finger Lakes Wine Country visit Tanglewood Nature Center in Elmira.

Tanglewood Nature Center and Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and preservation in the region. The property boasts over nine miles of walking trails, more than 40 native and exotic animals that have been through rehabilitation but cannot be re-released into the wild, as well as offering educational programming for both adults and children.

The Nature Center and Museum is open Tuesday - Friday from 9AM to 4PM, and Saturday from 10AM - 4PM. The nature trails are open year-round; during the winter months, visitors can rent snow shoes. In the summer months, Tanglewood offers a day camp program for children, with camps available for kids K-2 and grades 3-5. 

Tanglewood also offers facility rentals, for events and birthday parties.
