A heat advisory is in effect Wednesday as we're expecting temperatures to rise into the lower 90s with heat index values topping 100 in some valley locations.  The heat and humidity will stick around through Friday before a cold front ushers in cooler and less humid conditions for the weekend.  Along with the heat and humidity, we're expecting the chance for a few thunderstorms over the next several days.  The best chance for strong thunderstorms will come Friday as the cold front passes through.
