ITHACA, N.Y.(WENY)-- Each October the Sophie Fund, which is a non-profit organization in Ithaca, works alongside student organizations to raise money for nonprofit organizations focused on community wellbeing. This year the Sophie Fund is raising money for The Learning Web of Ithaca. 

The Learning Web offers experimental learning, youth employment, and independent living programs to youth and young adults in Tompkins County. 

The Sophie Fund intends to donate 100 percent of the funds raised specifically to the Supporting Strong Families project, which “helps youth with children learn new skills, acquire childcare equipment and supplies, and access needed resources.”
