HAMMONDSPORT, NY (WENY) -- This week in wine country, sponsored by Finger Lakes Wine Country, we're visiting Heron Hill Winery in Hammondsport, on the Keuka Lake Wine Trail. 

Heron Hill has been making wine since 1977, and is a farm winery with a focus on sustainability. The winery's flagship location is located in Hammondsport, with a tasting room located on Canandaigua Lake.

Currently, the winery required pre-paid reservations, which can be made online. The Hammondsport location is open seven days a week, from 10AM to 5PM Monday through Saturday, and 12PM to 5PM on Sunday. 

Managing partner Eric Frarey and Tasting Room Manager Courtney Dolan are hosting a virtual wine tasting ahead of Thanksgiving, on Heron Hill's Facebook page. Participants can pre-order a curated package of three wines that will be showcased during the Facebook live tasting. Check out the tasting kit here.
