The "It's A Wonderful Life" festival took place Sunday afternoon in Seneca Falls.

People gathered to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the classic holiday film.

Member of the Board of Trustees of Seneca Falls' "It's a Wonderful Life" Museum Francis Caraccilo said there was something special as to why this year's celebration was so important.

“Today is the last day of our annual festival,” he said. “This year is rather special launching the 75th anniversary year.”

People travel from around the country to remember the film and its message.

“It gets bigger every year...it's amazing,” he said. “Young, old, grade school children -- obviously coming with their parents.”

Actor Bryan Rohan flew out from Los Angeles to impersonate the main character from the film for the festival, as well. He interacted with people as George Bailey.

“Bryan Rohan is an actor from Los Angeles who is the best darn George Bailey short of George Bailey,” he said.

Rohan talked about why the festival is important to people.

“Well, there's just a feeling of community and decency and a little bit of 'love thy neighbor' and I think we can use that today,” he said.

Caracillo talked about the impact Frank Capa's film has left on people of all ages.

“This movie just touches everybody,” he said.
