After a bitterly cold start to the weekend with wind chills down to nearly -20, our focus turns to our first heavy snowfall of the season.  Low pressure over the Tennessee Valley will head towards the Southeast coast early in the weekend before it heads up the coast and strengthens into a nor'easter.  Snow will develop by late Sunday evening and will become heavy at times overnight.  The steady snow Monday morning will gradually give way to snow showers by Monday afternoon as the storm pulls away.  As of Friday night, we're expecting most of the region to pick up between 8-12" of snow.  Check back throughout the weekend for updates.
