3/28/22 UPDATE: Ithaca police say the victim of the March 20th shooting has died from their injuries.

Police identified the victim Monday as Teheran Forest, 43, of Ithaca. Forest died at a regional trauma center, where they were taken after the shooting on March 20th.

According to Ithaca Police, the investigation is ongoing and they are still searching for people who may have witnessed the incident. Residents with doorbell cameras or home surveillance systems are encouraged to review their footage around the date and time of the incident.


ITHACA, NY (WENY) -- Ithaca police are investigating a shooting that left a person injured early Sunday morning.

Police say just before 3 A.M., officers received a call for a reported shooting victim at the intersection of West State and Plain Streets. When police, fire and EMS arrived, they found a person with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a regional trauma center.

Witnesses told police the suspects were two black males, each with a thin build, wearing hooded sweatshirts. One hoodie was all black, and the other was black with red sleeves.

Anyone with information about the shooting, or who may have surveillance video from the area, is asked to contact Ithaca police.
