THURSTON, N.Y. (WENY) - A Thurston man was arrested this morning for allegedly imprisoning another person and running from law enforcement.

Garrett Ragusa, 27, was arrested on March 26th after forcibly detaining another person and possessing a large quantity of meth all while allegedly being on parole.

Ragusa allegedly attempted to run from authorities before a police dog arrived for assistance. 

He was charged with Aggravated Family Offense, a class E Felony, Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree, Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

Ragusa was held in court pending his parole hearing.

New York State DOCCS also helped with the arrest.
