A strong cold front will push through the region today bringing very gusty winds and pockets of heavy rain. Wind gusts will rush out of the south at speeds near 15 mph to 20 mph with gusts near 40 mph. Showers and will continue through the evening with rainfall amounts accumulating to a tenth to a quarter inch. Localized higher amounts are possible as thunderstorms roll through. 

The Storm Prediction Center has our region at risk for sever weather. Aside from heavy rain and gusty winds, there is also a potential for hail and even an isolated tornado.
