ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Backstage Pass: Clemens Center Gala returned to Elmira, this evening. The fundraising event was the Clemens Centers' largest annual party, and tickets were completely sold out.

Over 200 guests attended to get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the theatre inside. The gala raised money for the concert and theater center

Karen Cromer, Executive Director of the Clemens Center, said the event supports and sustains the historic building.

“This is for our general operations, so every year, we have to raise about $600,000 in addition to ticket sales to run this facility,” she said. "We ask a lot of the community and this is our one way of giving back a little bit and having fun at raising some money because it's not always a lot of fun but we sure have a lot of fun at the Clemens Center.”

There was live music, food, a live and silent auction and backstage access. This event also helps to provide support for the Clemens Center's many programs.
