ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY)-- Two men were arrested on a weapons charge in Elmira Friday evening. 

According to the Elmira Police Department, this happened a little after 7 PM. Officers say they conducted a traffic stop and pulled over a car for having an invalid registration. During that traffic stop, one of the officers saw revolvers in the glove box of the car. EPD says they recovered a defaced 38 special revolver and a Draco AK Pistol with a 30-round magazine.

After further investigation police arrested 20-year-old Camron Gifft of Elmira and 18-year-old Jordan Mann of Elmira. Both Gifft and Mann were occupants of the car.

Neither of them had a valid license to possess these firearms. 

Both men were charged with several felonies, including two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, 2nd a class C Felony, and 2 counts of Criminal
Possession of a Weapon 3rd, a class D Felony.

 Gifft and Mann remain in the Elmira City Police jail pending arraignment.
