OWEGO, NY (WENY) -- This week in wine country, sponsored by Finger Lakes Wine Country, we're learning about the return of the Owego Strawberry Festival, back after a two-year hiatus!

 

The event is hosted by Historic Owego Marketplace, and is in its 40th year in 2022. This year's event is titled "Strawberry Jubilee," and will be held on June 17th and 18th.

Friday kicks off with a block party from 5 - 10PM, featuring three separate stages of live music, along with family-friendly entertainment, a wine and beer tasting tent in Courthouse Square, and a night capped off with fireworks at Draper Park.

Saturday brings the Strawberry Festival Parade beginning at 10AM, starting on Main Street. Live music continues throughout the day, in addition to food and craft vendors, games for children, a drum circle, hose races, and other entertainment.
