CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) - SUNY Corning Community College's Digital Dome Theater has been selected as the venue for the Rockwell Museum's 14th annual Alley Art Project: Worlds Collide.
The Digital Dome Theater's interior wall, approximately 61-feet 3.5-inches in length and 7-feet 7-inches
in height, will serve as the canvas for the mural design.
In a collaborative effort between the High School Learning Center (HSLC) of the Corning-Painted Post Area School District and CCC, students worked with local professional artist Tori Burdick, CCC Art Instructor Hiram Cray, HSLC Coordinator Dave Quackenbush, and the Rockwell Education staff to design the art mural.
The painting of the mural will take place in mid-August under the guidance of Burdick, Cray, and the Rockwell Education staff.
A ceremonial ribbon cutting will take place upon completion of the mural.
