HORSEHEADS, NY (WENY) -- This week in wine country, sponsored by Finger Lakes Wine Country, we're visiting Hidden Alpaca Farm in Horseheads.

Owned by Carol Haff, Hidden Alpaca Farm is located on East Vargo Road in the town of Horseheads. The farm and retail shop is open to visitors and group tours, from May 1st through October 31st. Hidden Alpaca Farm also offers alpacas for sale, breeding and sponsorship.

 The retail store offers items made from fiber collected from the alpacas on the farm, then made into items such as yarn, socks, mittens, wool dryer balls, hats and bags.

In September, the farm hosts an alpaca open house, where visitors can come without an appointment. This year's event will be held on September 24th, from 10AM to 4PM.
