ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - An Elmira man was indicted on a murder charge stemming from a shooting that took place last month.

Taiwan Dennard, 42, was indicted on charges of second degree murder stemming from an incident on June 18th. Dennard shot 55 year old Ervin Mosley multiple times causing his death.

In June, EPD conducted a search warrant at a home on the 400 block of West Clinton Street in Elmira and found that Dennard had multiple weapons on him.

A search warrant was obtained for the home and in addition to the AK-47, police say Dennard was in possession of two 9mm Glock handguns, one being a ghost gun with a 50-round drum attachment. A Mauser bolt action rifle and numerous clips, magazines, and ammunition were also located inside the home.

He was indicted on 2nd Degree Murder and eleven counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
