DUNDEE, N.Y. (WENY) - A Yates County man has been charged for child sex abuse.

According to the county Sheriff's Office, 62 year old James Petersen of was arrested on July 27th in Dundee.

The arrest report said that Petersen was accused of allegedly subjecting a child in Dundee to sexual contact and attempted sexual contact.

He was charged with Sex Abuse in the 1st Degree and Attempted Sex Abuse in the 1st Degree. He was arraigned in Starkey Court and released on pre-trial release.
