Nick Langworthy Campaigns in Elmira
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- New York State GOP Chairman Nick Langworthy made a stop in Elmira Friday afternoon, just days before Election Day. Langworthy is running as the republican candidate for New York's 23rd Congressional District.
"I'm running for Congress to restore a stable conservative voice, for commonsense in the halls of Congress. It's been missing for far too long," said Langworthy.
Langworthy said he believes he can restore the balance of the House of Representatives and to end one party rule in New York and Washington D.C.
"I'm looking to restore this district, give us the stability and the ability to fight for the Southern Tier and Western New York," said Langworthy.
Langworthy shows a strong support for law enforcement, says crime is a forefront interest and there's been a crime wave across New York state.
"If we don’t have the back of law enforcement we can’t expect safer streets or safer communities. They need a morale boost, they need funding boosts, they need training and equipment," he said.
Langworthy encourages voters to cast their ballot on November 8th.
"I humbly ask for your support and your vote on Tuesday. I think it’s very important we send someone to Washington to restore common sense to the halls of Congress. I'd be honored to be your voice in Washington D.C.," said Langworthy.
Langworthy faces democrat Max Della Pia of Tioga County in the election.
