Twin Tiers Comic Con returns to Arnot Mall Event Center this weekend
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- After three years, Twin Tiers Comic Con is returning to the Arnot Mall this weekend for its seventh showing. The comic convention took a break in its schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It feels great," said Kevin Falkenberg, one of the organizers of Twin Tiers Comic Con. "The last year we did was in November of 2019 so... that was like 4 months before the whole world shut down."
Presales for the event are already up this year compared to any other year this convention has existed.
"We were worried initially, but it looks really good at this point that it is going to be equal to or better than [attendance in] 2019," said Mike Royle, an organizer of Twin Tiers Comic Con.
Some guests that will appear at this years event are Butch Patrick, a star of 'The Munsters' and Samantha Ferris, who starred in television series like 'Supernatural' and 'Battlestar Galactica'. Some guests from the comic world making their appearance this year are Alex Saviuk, Dan Parent, Mike Raicht and Ken Wheaton. The event also includes several vendors, food joints, local artists and more.
Single day tickets are on sale for $15. Weekend passes cost $20. There are also two V.I.P. packages for guests to chose from. One of the packages is only available for adults over 21 years old. Children under 14 years old, and veterans get free access to the Twin Tiers Comic Con this weekend.
The Comic Con takes place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Arnot Mall Event Center.
