An Upper Level Trough over Canada will keep us in a cold westerly flow on Sunday. These cold, west winds are likely to produce lake-effect snow showers, as they blow over the warm Great Lakes. Some of these snow showers are expected to push across our region on Sunday, which will most likely remain on the light and brief side. The best areas to see about one inch of snow are northern and western areas of Steuben County. Points west could see higher totals, where snow bands are expected to be more persistent and heavier. Otherwise, partly sunny skies and seasonably cold temperatures are expected.
