HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) - The New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) will begin a brand new season this summer with the Horseheads Hitmen and Hornell Steamers set to take the field. The NYCBL released the 2023 league schedule on Friday.

Hoseheads and Hornell will go head-to-head on opening day in Horseheads on Monday, June 5th. The league says game times will be announced in early spring.

The NYCBL All-Star game will be played on Monday, July 10th with the regular season wrapping up on July 22nd.

The Hitmen will play their first season in Horseheads this summer at the Babe Ruth field after relocating from Mansfield and rebranding.

The Steamers finished last season 24-17-1 and were second in the Western Division. After traveling to Horseheads to open the season, the Steamers will host Dansville for their home opener on Tuesday, June 6th.
