PGCBL releases 2023 season schedule
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) released the 2023 season schedule on Monday as the Elmira Pioneers prepare for another season at Dunn Field.
Opening day for the Pioneers is set for Friday, June 2nd when they host the Batavia Muckdogs at 6:35 PM with postgame fireworks. This year's home games for the Pioneers will begin at 6:35 PM except for Sunday home games which will start at 4:05 PM.
All 16 teams in the PGCBL will play a 46-game regular season schedule which will conclude on Saturday, July 29th. The playoffs will begin on Sunday, July 30th with the PGCBL Championship Series scheduled for Wednesday, August 2nd-Friday, August 4th. Four teams from the West Division, which is the division Elmira is in, will qualify for the postseason.
In a press release on Monday, the team says the city of Elmira has big plans for Dunn Field with some exciting upgrades, and more details will be coming soon. Season tickets start at $99, and more information on season tickets for Elmira's 28 regular-season home games can be obtained by calling their offices at 607-734-2690.
The Pioneers finished the 2022 season 24-21 overall where they fell to Batavia in the PGCBL Quarterfinals.
