** WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM THIS MORNING FOR TIOGA COUNTY, PA AND UNTIL 6 AM FOR POTTER COUNTY, PA ** Showers will begin before sunrise and some areas could see the chance for some ice accumulation. Higher elevations where temperatures are on the colder side are likely to see a trace of ice. Temperatures will rise after sunrise above-freezing and most of the precipitation will be rain. Highs will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s Thursday. Showers will taper off tonight with lows in the upper 30s. Drier weather is expected Friday with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-40s. By Saturday winds will shift out of the northwest and we will see colder air ushered in. Temperatures will be in the upper 30s to start the weekend and warm up to the mid-40s by Sunday under partly sunny skies. Partly sunny skies stick around into early next week with the warming trend continuing with highs expected to rise up to 50 by Wednesday. Our next chance for rain showers will be Wednesday as a system pushes into the region.
