CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- Corning’s Gaffer district hosted the first ever Chill Festival, this weekend. The event offers ice carvings, food, drinks and a winter wonderland of fun.

“We are doing 'Chill' this weekend so we are doing a family, fun weekend for the kids," said Marshall Ferrari, the Event Manager at the Gaffer District. "There will be ice sculptures out throughout the district, there will be interactive pieces out at Carry's brewhouse, air hockey, ski ball for the kids."

Local bars are happy to be a part of Chill’s first festival in the Twin Tiers. Bridges Bar and Grill has been around for one year and the bar was packed with Chilling fun.

“We got a band today from 2 to 4, drink specials, food specials,” said owner Becki Messner.

People came from near and far for the weekend of Winter Fun. Bobby K Entertainment supplies games of all types for these events.

“it's a lot of fun. We love to be a part of the these and doing all this for the kids and brining these games and introducing new things to new people,” said Supervisor at Bobby K Entertainment Geoff Rolls.
