Tight Snow Gradient Monday Night

Low pressure will track across Pennsylvania tonight with a tight snow gradient expected just to its north. The snow will begin shortly after sunset and will continue just past midnight. Heavy snow is possible in a short amount of time across parts of the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, especially to the south of Route 6 where some 6" amounts are possible. Much lighter snow totals are expected as you head north in New York with little or no accumulation across the Finger Lakes region. However, cold and blustery conditions on Tuesday will produce widespread lake enhanced snow showers with localized additional accumulations of 1-2" possible.
