Meet Bruno, WENY's SPCA Pet of the Week!
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Meet Bruno, WENY's Pet of the Week from the Chemung County Humane Society & SPCA!
Bruno is a six-month-old pug/mix who loves to explore the world by playing. He is a little shy at first, but once he opens up he'll want to follow you through all of life's journeys. The SPCA says Bruno plays well with dogs, cats, and children of all ages.
Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming "Celebrity Chef" fundraiser-event on April 22. Food and drinks will be provided, and guests can have the opportunity to participate in raffles and an auction. The SPCA's celebrity chef guests include Joe Golden, Roger Laughlin, Sierra Luongo, Lisa O'Connor, Patrick Roth and Taryn Smith. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Chemung County SPCA. Tickets can be purchased here.
The SPCA recently partnered with the City of Corning to lower its free-roaming cat problem. The organization is neutering and releasing cats in the city, to cut down on the unwanted cat population. Interested cat owners in Corning can register for this program through the City Clerk’s Office.
The SPCA is in need of dry cat food. While the organization has a lot of kitten and dog food, it is in need of cat food to keep its older feline residents well-fed. If you are interested in donating to the SPCA, details can be found here.
If you or someone you know is interested in adopting Bruno, fill out an application on the SPCA's website.
