ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Wednesday is the public’s last chance to purchase tickets for Catholic Charities' 18th Annual Empty Bowls Luncheon. 

The event will take place on Tuesday, March 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Notre Dame High School. It will include lunch provided by Barb's Soup's on Cafe in Elmira, a brief presentation and a 50/50 raffle. 

Tickets are $30 per person for the standard lunch and $50 to receive an additional commemorative soup bowl created by a local art student.   

The Empty Bowls Luncheon is the largest fundraiser for Catholic Charities' Emergency Services. Over the last 18 years, it's raised more than $250,000 toward local hunger and poverty relief efforts.
