Lockwood man sentenced to prison on sex abuse, child endangerment convictions
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- A Lockwood man will spend 12 years in state prison after being sentenced Monday.
Thomas R. Cundy, 62, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for his conviction for criminal sex act in the 1st degree, with 10 years of post release supervision. He was also sentenced to 1 year in prison for his conviction for endangering the welfare of a child. The DA's office said the sentences are to run concurrently. Cundy will also be required to register with the New York State Sex Offender Registry.
According to the indictment, Cundy was accused of committing a criminal sex act on or about November 1st, 2021 through November 25th, 2021.
Cundy was also accused of endangering the welfare of a child over a three-year-period between June 2018, until June 2021 -- with the child being under the age of 17.
