CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Chemung County Chamber of Commerce and Elmira Downtown Development Inc. are calling on all local foodies. The second annual Chemung Restaurant Week is going on from March 24th until next Sunday on April 2nd.  

The Chamber wants to use its strong connections with the restaurant community to bring attention to the vibrant and diverse restaurants across the county. 

People will be able to enjoy some of the best food in the area, offered at special prices. This event is also an opportunity for tourists to check out the dining scene. 

Mike Sullivan, owner of the Hilltop Inn, is excited to participate and gain more exposure from the event. He said even though his restaurant is entering its 90th year being open, he loves any opportunity to meet new customers. 

“It is an exciting way to highlight a lot of the local restaurants in this area and we are very excited to be participating, again, this year,” he said.  

Sullivan said his restaurant is going to be offering great deals, all week long. He i going to be offering customers a stacked, three-course meal, for $40.00.
