Three Elmira Men Arrested on Weapons, Burglary Charges

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - Three Elmira men were arrested on Tuesday after a burglary took place in the city involving several weapons.
According to E-P-D, offficers responded on Sunday at 6:30 AM for a report of a person running back and forth between a parked car and a building in the 200 block of Lake Avenue.
EPD says that several people had broken a window to gain access to the building. Officers later made contact with a person who was leaving the building.
EPD says the person went back into the building at which time officers were to locate a second person.
A short time later, EPD was able to locate a third person sitting inside a parked car nearby. Officers located two semi-automatic handguns including a 9 millimeter "ghost gun inside the parked car.
After the investigation, EPD arrested 40 year old Sharell Brooks, 22 year old Gene Holden, and 22 year old Dominique Brooks-Jenkins of criminal possession of a weapon and burglary.
