Pine City Volunteer Fire Department welcomes community to a pancake fundraiser
PINE CITY (WENY) -- The Pine City Volunteer Fire Department will be handing out eggs with the Southport Parks & Recreation at Chapel Park, tomorrow. The egg hunt will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Following the egg hunt will be a pancake dinner fundraiser. Kids and families will be able to put their craziest toppings on piles of pancakes form 1 to 5 p.m. at the fire department.
Jennifer Bly, one of the organizers of the event, said children will get a chance to meet Eggbert the Easter Bunny, as well.
“They can have pancakes with Eggbert the Easter bunny and if they get one of the five gold ticket eggs, there will be a special surprise for them ,” she said.
Volunteer firefighters will be handing out five eggs with golden tickets inside. That is how children can retrieve their prize.
Tickets for the dinner will cost $10 for ages nine and up, and $5 for ages eight and under.
All the proceeds from the pancake dinner will go right back into funding the volunteer fire department.
