ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Bradley farms is located in Elmira’s Southern Tier and reopened for its 103rd season on April 1st. The large farm is known for its vegetable production, garden, and now its special events.

“It's a great feeling. It's a very short time, we are only closed for three months,” said the Owner of Bradley Farms, Dan Hurley.  “It takes a month to put away Christmas. It's a couple of months to do some repairs and rebuild, and then it is time again.”

Into early April, the weather is slowly changing as the Twin Tiers see warm, cool, and cold days on and off. Dan Hurley shared that spring flowers are his next priority after the Easter holiday.

“This is a first-time event for us, leading an easter egg hunt.  It's going very well. As you can see there are a lot of kids here and they are having a lot of fun,” added Hurley.

During the summer, Bradley Farms begins preparing for the fall. The fall season brings all of the fan-favorites from pumpkins, pumpkin spice, pumpkin coffee, and festive seasonal bread.

“Fall is a big time for us, believe it or not for us grow pumpkins and everything. We have a corn maze going, taking care of that, getting that ready so there is plenty to do every day,” he concluded.

Now, two days into April and Bradley farms are up and running for the 2023 season. Kids of all ages had the chance to go on wagon rides, shoot balls out of a cannon, play on a bounce house, and of course collect easter eggs in exchange for candy. There is always something fun to do, see, smell, or buy at Bradley Farms. Over the remainder of 2023, a lot will happen at Bradley Farms, and it is a great place to visit when time allows.
