I-86 closures in Bath area coming up

STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) -- The New York State Department of Transportation announced today that motorists in Steuben County should be aware of some upcoming closures set for Interstates 86 and 390. Work will be down primarily in and around the Town Of Bath in order to let workers complete an overhead signage project.
Starting on Wednesday, May 10th the I-86 eastbound will be closed between exits 35and 37. During the same time The I-390 southbound will close between Exit 1 and the I-86/I-390 interchange.
The roadway is anticipated to reopen by 6 a.m. Thursday morning.
The following week on Wednesday, May 17 beginning at 8 p.m. on I-86 westbound there will be a closure between Exits 35 and 37 and I-390 northbound will close between exit 1 and the I-86/I-390 interchange. The roadway is anticipated to reopen on Thursday, May 18 by 6 a.m.
A signed detour will be in place for both closures. Motorists are advised to utilize the signed detour. Construction is weather dependent.
