Mandatory Masking No Longer Required at Cayuga Health

ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) - Cayuga Health patients and visitors will no longer be required to wear masks starting May 11th, due to reduced COVID community and transmission rates.
According to Cayuga Health, employees will continue to wear N95 masks when caring for those patients who are suspected or known to be COVID-positive. Masking continues to be recommended to all patients, staff, and visitors.
People may choose to use masks at Cayuga Health based on personal preference.
Cayuga Health will continue to monitor COVID community and transmission rates and will adjust the policy if cases increase.
