ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - Police arrested a man in Elmira on drug and weapons possession charges after police say they pulled him over on a traffic stop.

According to EPD, officers conducted a traffic stop Thursday at around 5:45 P.M. in the area of South Main and West Hudson Streets.

Officers conducted their investigation and found a loaded handgun with several rounds of ammunition. Officers say they also found cocaine and fentanyl.

As a result, 25 year old Keyshawn Johnson was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Obstruction of Governmental Administration.

Johnson was arraigned in court and brought to the Chemung County Jail.
