CORNING, NY (WENY) -- The Gaffer District's annual GlassFest is gearing up to make its annual return to the Crystal City.

GlassFest is a four-day celebration of glass and fire arts in Corning. The event kicks off Thursday, May 25th with the ceremonial glass ribbon cutting in the Hot Shop Amphitheater at the Corning Museum of Glass.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday include live glassblowing demonstrations, artisans, craft vendors, food and drink vendors, live music, and performances up and down Market Street and Riverfront Centennial Park. 

Musical acts for this year's "Rock the Park" series include multi-platinum band, Fuel on Friday, May 26th, and Classic Albums Live performing Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" on Saturday, May 27th. 

On Sunday, Elmira's own Isaiah Smallwood will perform at 3:15PM; Smallwood recently competed on the ABC show "American Idol", making it to the Hollywood round of auditions.

Other activities include guided public art tours, fireworks Saturday night at 9:45PM, the Wineglass 8K Saturday morning at 8AM, as well as activities for families and kids.
