BATH, N.Y. (WENY) - On Friday, A Steuben County Jury convicted a Hornell man for leaving hateful and racist symbols around Hornell last July.

According to the Steuben County District Attorney's Office, Ryan Mulhollen, 28, was convicted on ten counts of aggravated harassment and nine counts of Criminal Mischief.

Police originally arrested Mulhollen last July during a search warrant at a River Street home.

The charges stems from his efforts in targeting members of the community based upon his beliefs about their race and religion by placing stickers with swastikas and racial slurs at two area churches.

Brochures were also found at public and private properties throughout the city.

The DA's office said that the two other people involved in the case, 30 year old Dylan Henry and 31 year old Aubrye Gradonetti both pleaded guilty for their roles.

Mulhollen will be sentenced in July and faces up to 10 to 20 years in prison.
