Cold Front to shower our region with beneficial rains

Despite the showers we had the last few days, drought conditions continue to intensify across the Twin Tiers. While these showers were helpful to some degree, they were too short-lived to have a major impact on our rainfall deficit. However, we are tracking a cold front that could have a bigger impact on our rainfall shortage and finally soak the ground.
Cold front is expected to spread rain showers across our area Sunday night to Monday. Rainfall is expected to be widespread across the Twin Tiers with the steadiest rain being Monday morning. We are expecting 0.25 - 0.5'' across our area. While these rains are beneficial, drought conditions will still exist.
