Partly sunny skies are expected today as a low pressure system to our west begins to approach the region. Showers and some isolated thunderstorms will be possible into the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will reach into the mid-80s. Overnight will remain mild with the chance for showers and thunderstorms. Lows will fall into the mid-60s. Chances for rain and thunderstorms will grow throughout the weekend. Temperatures will start in the mid-80s Saturday followed by the upper-70s Sunday. Sunday will be the greatest chance for showers and thunderstorms as the low pressure system passes by. Gusty winds and heavier downpours will be the biggest threat, but some small hail cannot be ruled out. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible into early next week and taper off by mid-week. Temperatures will rebound back into the 80s for Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday we will be sitting in the upper-80s under partly sunny skies with some lingering showers and thunderstorms. Thursday will bring some drier weather and temperatures around 90.
