1 dead, 2 injured in Bradford Co. two-car crash
SHESHEQUIN TOWNSHIP, PA. (WENY) -- One person is dead and two others are injured after a head-on, two-car crash Saturday in Bradford County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on North Rome Road in Sheshequin Township. One driver was traveling northbound when they crossed the solid double center line and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on.
The car that crossed the solid double center line ran off the road, flipping over at the bottom of an embankment. The oncoming car that was hit also ran off the road, striking a tree.
According to troopers, the driver of the vehicle that hit the tree died as a result of the crash. Another passenger inside that same vehicle was seriously injured. The driver of the vehicle that originally crossed the center line also sustained minor injuries.
Pennsylvania State Police have not identified anyone involved in the crash, but they did announce the driver that crossed into oncoming traffic was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.
