*A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR BRADFORD AND TIOGA ( N.Y.) COUNTIES THROUGH 9 PM*

A watch means that conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in these counties this afternoon. There is a Marginal Risk (Isolated Threat) for severe storms in the Watched Areas. A few storms could turn severe with damaging winds, hail, frequent lightning and heavy rains.
However, strong thunderstorms are still possible outside of these areas. Storms have begun to filter through the Twin Tiers. Any storm could produce frequent lightning, torrential rains and gusty winds. We are monitoring the situation.
