BATH, N.Y. (WENY) -- A 38-year-old Bath man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for child pornography in federal court. That's according to the United State's Attorney's Office, who said Joshua Wormley's sentence reflects the fact he was previously convicted for attempted possession of a sexual performance of a child.

In February 2021, authorities found that Wormley possessed a cell phone containing approximately 800 images and two videos of child pornography. According to authorities some of the images and videos depicted prepubescent minors.

The FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force the Yates County Sheriff's Office handled the investigation.
