SAYRE, P.A. (WENY) -- Endless Mountain Behavioral Health opened its doors this month which provides over 100 beds for people experiencing substance abuse. The treatment center offers ways for people to cleanse themselves from addictive substances. The center provides housing as well as one on one therapy. The focus is on guiding people with addiction to get the skills necessary to recover for the long term.

"Our mission statement is really simple its two words inspire recovery. A very large percentage of our staff have been or already in recovery themselves long term so when you come here you're dealing with people that aren't going to judge you. They're not going to judge whatever it is that led you to become dependent on your substances or your alcohol." says Community Outreach Specialist, Martha Hornby.

Last year the state of Pennsylvania had roughly 4,700 overdose deaths. The state also ranked top five in the U.S. for reported overdose cases per state.

Endless Mountain Behavioral Health opened on September 12th offering different services to help fight over dose addiction.

"So we do detox which is normally seven days for most people and then we move them into our residential facilities which are separate buildings. There is still nurse on staff twenty four hours a day but they get a little more freedom, they get a little more alone time and rest time."

The most rewarding thing that you or someone you know struggles with addiction will experience when coming to the center is a non judge mental environment.

"Every single person that you will interact with here, whether it be staff or clients. Everybody is understanding of what you're going through and just having that one time of your life where you know no one is going to be judging you, or taking photos of you and putting them on social media and making fun of you. We don't do that here we don't believe in that, you're here to just have that experience where your fully respected for the human being that you are."

Located at 175 Lamoka Rd in Sayre, the center is inviting the public to its open house on Friday October 13th from 11 AM to 2 PM.
