HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) -- Meet Jaci, WENY's Pet of the Week from the Horseheads Community Animal Shelter!

Jaci is a one-and-a-half year old, female, black and white cat. Jaci is a cat that needs a little extra care, as she has some kidney issues that can lead to frequent urinary tract infections. She is looking for a family that can accommodate her in that journey. Everyday care for Jaci is about the same as any other cat, besides the special food and litter she uses. She is a little shy around people at first, but the shelter says she can warm up to anyone in a matter of minutes.

"She's a little bit shy... she's not used to really being out... a nice quiet home, with just a lap to sit on is all she needs," said Mike Bombarger, animal handler for the Horseheads Community Animal Shelter.
