SCHUYLER COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) - A 28-year-old Montour Falls Man was sentenced to prison Thursday, November 2nd, for injuring a State Trooper and more. That's according to a statement released by the Schuyler County District Attorney.

According to the Schuyler D.A., Steven Bonham pleaded guilty in court to four different charges on Thursday, August 10th, 2023. The charges include Assault in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony, Burglary in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The Assault charge arose after Bonham resisted his lawful arrest and injured a State Trooper in the process. Other charges come after multiple property crimes were committed including burglarizing a residence and possessing and damaging stolen property.

Bonham was sentenced to six years in state prison and two years post release supervision. Additionally Bonham was ordered to pay $1,869.50 in restitution.
