Guthrie's PA hospital trio contributed $789 million to Northern Tier economy, study says
SAYRE, P.A. (WENY) -- A study from the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) says that Guthrie's three Pennsylvania-based hospital contributed a total of $789 million to the Northern Tier's local economy. The study also showed that Guthrie contributed nearly $75 million towards community based efforts such as charity care and support through programs like Medicaid and Medicare.

Our mission is to support the residents we employ while providing the highest quality care to our communities.”
In addition the study noted that hospitals across the commonwealth contributed $9 billion through community benefit in the fiscal year 2022. Pennsylvania hospitals employ over 590,000 within state lines.
