Sunday starts out with overcast skies before rain eventually starts in the afternoon, beginning with light showers before transitioning to a more steady rainfall. Rain is expected to carry on throughout tonight and later through Monday, tapering off late as temperatures cruise to below freezing levels.

Monday brings more rain before the possibility of snow showers emerges on Tuesday morning. Temperatures will briefly fall below freezing before highs re-emerge in the 40s for the second half of next week. Overall as much as 2" of rain could be seen in the Southern Tier over the next 48 hours.
