CORTLAND, N.Y. (WENY) -- Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Cortland is celebrating its 65th anniversary on Thursday, January 11th.  The first opening day took place in 1958, celebrated by a ski parade with the governor.  Starting with only four trails and two short rope tows, Greek Peak now has 44 trails, tubing, six chair lifts, and a full resort set up.

“Greek Peak has been a cornerstone in the Cortland/Virgil area all these years and a driver of employment and our local economy for the community all along the way. It’s always great to share special days and moments with our guests, and we are excited to invite one and all on January 11th and throughout the ski season," said Wes Kryger, president of Greek Peak Mountain Resort.

The resort said they are running special promos on January 11th, like $65 dollar lift tickets all day long.  Also, the first 65 people at the ticket window will get a special anniversary poster.

Greek Peak Mountain Resort is open from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is open all season.  For more information about Greek Peak Mountain Resort, click here.
