(WENY) -- Person Centered Services aims to help improve the education of students between the ages of 14 and 21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with their families. The organization is offering a free, virtual Transition Expo with local service providers in Chemung, Steuben, Schuyler, Yates counties.

The organization said this online event will allow participants to meet with service providers to explore opportunities available for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they prepare for adulthood.

During the online event, Person Centered Services staff will help attendees choose breakout rooms of their choice. After they have chosen their room, provider agencies will offer information about their adult services, eligibility criteria, referral processes, and vacancies.

This free expo, that is open to the public, will take place virtually on January 24th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for counties in the Twin Tiers.
