Both Saturday and Sunday are set to endure wind chills around zero and see wind gusting to upwards of 30 miles per hour. Areas to the North are expected to see some accumulating snow but most of the Twin Tiers will only see a coating to a half-inch of snow. Temperatures stick to the teens for most of the day, but a few areas may surpass 20 degrees.

A few flurries may be the last snowfalls for the near future as temperatures take a significant climb to the 30s and later 40s. A ridge of high pressure builds into our area and we can expect temperatures to climb thanks to southerly flow allowing for warm air to enter the region.

The next major storm system impacts the region by Tuesday, around the same time the warm southerly flow arrives as well. Rain showers are expected through next Friday as maximum temperatures gradually increase from the 30s on Monday and Tuesday to the 40s from Wednesday onward.
